Local Elections

Click here to see the voter guide for the special election in House District 86 (Manchester/Augusta). In addition to referendum questions, school board and city/town council elections will be decided on November 2^nd.  While the Christian Civic League does not produce voter guides for local elections, we want to inform citizens about these races where possible.

For the first time, the League will release names of candidates for local races (school board, city/town council, etc.) committed to Christian values and parental rights. If you or someone you know is running for office and is interested in being endorsed by the League, contact our policy director, Mike McClellan at policy@cclmaine.org.

Candidate Training

Join us at Faith Evangelical Free Church on December 10^th and 11^th for another CCL candidate training event. The first session will be Friday evening 6-9 with FRC’s Joseph Backholm will emphasize the importance of effectively advocating a Biblical worldview. Saturday’s session will be from 9-1 (continental breakfast and lunch included). This session will be led by Zach Freeman who led this summer’s sessions regarding campaign strategies. The session will end with lunch a panel discussion comprised of elected officials. Click here to register.

Vaccine Update

Like many of you, the CCL is not against the medical practice of vaccinations. While we recognize the health benefits vaccines have historically provided, we have grave concerns about over-reaching and unnecessary government mandates. The citizens of Maine have been hit particularly hard by these mandates in the absence of religious and philosophical exemptions.
