Gov. LePage Confirms for Candidate Training Events

Former governor, Paul LePage will be joining us for our candidate training sessions in Auburn at East Auburn Baptist Church  on July 24th and in Bangor at Crosspoint Church on July 31st. Gov. LePage knows how important it is for Maine’s citizens to prepare for the upcoming local and state elections. We are thankful he is making time in his terribly busy schedule to prioritize these events. He will be the speaker during lunch at both events.

We are limiting the number of participants for each of these events so we can fully serve those we have trained when they execute their campaigns. To register or get information about our candidate training sessions, email Mike McClellan at policy@cclmaine.org or call him at 329-6148.

We Are Almost There

As the legislature winds down its session, there still are a few bills that will be voted on in both chambers. The next step is the veto process which is scheduled for June 30th. There are some bills pertaining to gambling expansion and marijuana deregulation we are hoping Gov. Mills vetoes. That means there are still opportunities for our policy team and supporters for advocacy. We will keep you informed about those opportunities to reach out to the governor and/or your legislators.

All our advocacy activities are funded by our Beacon Campaign. Our goal for this year is $40,000. We have a matching gift of $20,000, and right now, we are just under $5,000 short of our goal. Click here to make sure we cover our expenses and have all we need to finish this legislative session well.
