Pro-Life Legislators Stripped from Committee Assignments
On Monday, May 24, the day that Maine‘s mask mandate was lifted, seven members of the House of Representatives were stopped by capital security from entering for not wearing masks. Click here to see the video of the legislators asking a representative of the Speaker of the House, Ryan Fectau, to meet with him to discuss why he was not following the CDC and Governor Mills’ declaration to end the mask mandate. As a result of not complying with the speaker’s insistence upon wearing a mask, these legislators were removed from their committees. Among those removed from the committees were two stalwart defenders of the sanctity of human life, Rep. Laurel Libby and Rep. Jim Thorne who serve on the critical judiciary committee. To make matters worse, Rep’s Libby and Thorne were replaced with pro-abortion legislators.

Making Maine Proud
Dr. Owens Strachan, Provost of Grace Bible Theological Seminary, was recently a guest on Tony Perkins’ radio program, Capital Watch. Dr. Strachan grew up in Eastport, Maine, and is now recognized as one of the most respected, young theologians in the country. Click here to listen to the interview where he addresses the dangers of Critical Race Theory and its Marxist origins. (Program note: The next two segments of Faith Matters in Maine will be dedicated to understanding and dealing with Critical Race Theory)
