Dear Friends,

I delayed November’s letter hoping to have a clearer picture of the Presidential election. As things stand now, it appears we are looking at a disappointing result.

Where do we go from here?

While there may be more challenges in our advocacy for life, religious freedom, and parental rights under a Biden/Harris administration, the League’s mission has not changed. In the midst of election setbacks, there were some positive results:

1) Sen. Collins will return to Washington to be part of the firewall protecting against a radical, progressive agenda

2) the Maine House saw at least an 11 seat gain by the Republicans

3) at least 11 pro-life women were elected to Congress.

As I count our blessings, I want you to know how thankful I am for the financial partners, prayer warriors, and dedicated volunteers who allowed our Pews to the Polls campaign to have a positive impact.

Please pray for us as we move forward. I continue to act as the liaison between the Mills’ Administration and Evangelical leaders regarding the impact of the pandemic upon Maine’s churches. These restrictions will not allow us to host banquets this fall, so we must focus all our efforts to raise necessary funds to our end-of-year campaign. Going into 2021, our need is significant as we fell short of our goals for the Beacon and Pews to the Polls campaigns by $40,000.

Please pray as I talk to ministry partners that we can raise $100,000 necessary for us to be financially sound for next year. Now, more than ever, we must invest in our Church Ambassador Network.

On behalf of the board and staff here at the League, let me wish you and your family a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
